1 – SIGNS OF SPRING
Happy Saturday! I hope you had a good week! We had a few days of beautiful weather and it’s making me so excited for spring! I know spring comes earlier for us than for some of you so I’m sharing a dose of sunshine to help us remember that warmer weather and good times are ahead. It’s always nice to have something to look forward to isn’t it?
I get excited every year when I see the green leaves popping out on this tree.
Also lemons! My trees always have the most lemons in January and February. A little pick me up during longer winter months. Time to bring these inside for a pick me up in the kitchen. :)
2 – HALLWAY REFRESH
Faux Wreaths/another similar option (I ordered both to try and the only different is the little white flowers!)
The spring weather inspired a little re-fresh in my hallway! I had my Christmas wreaths up and the hallway felt so bare and sad without them so I ordered these mini spring wreaths to try. I love the wreaths but can’t decided honestly if I love them in the hallway or not! Some days I think they are the cutest and other days I think they clutter the molding. Ha. For now they are staying.
These rugs were a happy mistake! I ordered one for my laundry room and it was too long so I tossed it in my hall to get a sack to return it and then thought wait.. why do I love that so much in my hallway!? I promptly ordered another one and couldn’t love them more!
Checkered Rug, Faux Wreath, Faux Olive Tree (on sale!), Black Pot
I didn’t really NEED rugs in this spot, but they add so much personality and I love how they look with my lights, tree and pot! (Moved my family room tree/pot into the dining room for now and my tree is on sale this weekend!) Such a fun pattern and they lay really flat to the floor with a rubber backing (no pad needed). CUTE. A happy mistake indeed. :)
3 – RECENT HOME FAVORITES
More spring inside with some cute new additions I’m styling this weekend.. I’ll show you how I’m using them soon! Loving this pretty blush color palette and the scallop details on this tray/bowl!
Also hello gorgeous vases! Obsessed with this wavy look. They are nice quality and will look good paired together or on their own.
Recent kitchen sink look. My island sink is smaller and I don’t like having my dish towel/sponge inside it or out on the counter so I ordered this cute little triangle dish rack! Perfect to keep things close but out of the way of the sink. I’ve had the kitchen sink grid for years and it really helps keeping your sink from getting scratches! You can find lots of sizes/options for sink grids here.
4 – CORD FREE LIGHT
I wanted this cute little lamp in my kitchen but didn’t want to see the cord (our plug outlet is under the top cabinet) so I ordered this rechargeable light bulb and am loving it! It’s dimmable and has a little remote.
Loving the added cozy light in my kitchen! It came in a set of two and I’m putting the other one in another lamp that I wanted in a spot with no outlet. These light bulbs open up so many possibilities for lamps in random spots!
5 – BACK IN STOCK
My pretty ruffled vase is back in stock! I love it with faux tulips. I pulled it out last week and it made me so happy!
Clear Acrylic Vase / Spring Home (more acrylic vase options)
My acrylic vase is also back in stock and comes in a few fun options this year! Shorter versions and a round option I have and also love. I added them all to my Spring Home Amazon folder linked above.
Clear Acrylic Vase / Spring Home (more acrylic vase options)
So many fun ways to style it with different flowers.
6 – NEW ADDITION TO THE FAMILY
New Balance Sneakers, Henley Top
My parents got a dog and he is the cutest! We spent last weekend in Utah with family and I didn’t want to set this little guy down. We snapped this pic on my way out of town.. sweats and no makeup but I saw that my henley top is on sale and had to share it because it’s such a staple in my closet.
I actually have 3 of them – all different colors. They are easy to dress up with jeans or I just wear them with sweats at home. Comfy and casual and cute!
While we’re in my closet can I just say that I’m still loving my wall of hats on hooks!
Ok.. I’m getting sidetracked.
Back to the dog. He’s a Yorkie Poodle mix (Yorkiepoo) and so snuggly and we are in love. I was seriously debating putting him in my suitcase and sneaking him home with me. That little face! Wonder if my parents would trade him for our lizard? Ha.
I won’t hold my breath.
:)
Enjoy your weekend!
Love your lemon trees!! Been trying for years to grow one here in Toronto, but never last once I bring it inside for the winter:(
Hi Mona! So sorry! Winters would make growing lemon trees tricky for sure.. they love warm climates year round. :(
OMG, Erin, I my heart jumped when I saw that pup, and I thought, “I can’t believe she buried the lede!” I guess since he’s your parents’ dog it’s a wee bit more acceptable for him to come after rugs and lamps, but he definitely deserves star treatment. I’m glad to hear the lizard is still with you, though, lol. He hasn’t made much of an appearance on the blog lately! ;) I’m guessing you are cleaning his cage now just like I had to take over my daughter’s betta set-up when she went to college!
Ha ha.. I’m laughing! Probably should have put the dog news at the top but yeah.. not ours or he would have had a whole blog post of his own! I need to take a current pic of Peaches (she is huge now!) and has been moved to Kenny’s office. He is cleaning the lizard’s cage along with the fish. Every day we think “why exactly are we doing this!?” Happy it’s not just us taking one for the team! The things we do for our kids. ;)
Hi Erin!
The pics have me L-O-N-G-I-N-G for spring! ESPECIALLY that fab lemon tree! I have a little faux one in my kitchen (Dwarf lemon. Hmmm… don’t know IF they actually exist in the REAL world!?) I want YOUR REAL one tho!
As far as the wreaths on the molding. YES. I say. I know it is a very fine line between Less is more and too much, but I think your big house can take it and I think it is
like, if you Parden the expression, “Eye Candy” on the molding, calling your attention to the detail of that molding. Sort of like jewelry (or a jeweled collar on an adorable puppy! Congrats to your parents! (I know folks who have the same little mix (yorkie poo) and they go by air from here to Palm Springs for winter every year (lucky ducks!) He rides in a carrier under the seat and sleeps the entire time! Was a little hyper at first (when NOT flying HA!) and they crate trained him and did puppy classes and now he is perfect!)
I am looking into your rechargeable light bulb. Would be perfect here for power outages. Artic circle, you know! It’s been BAD!
Happy spring to you tho!
