Sharing pics of the wedding shower I hosted last Saturday! I spent a lot of time in the yard the week before getting my patio furniture and yard clean. It was such a dirty mess from winter and it feels amazing to have it all clean now. I added flowers to a couple of pots and planted a few new things in the yard. Happy we can be outside more and enjoy it now!
We went with a garden vibe for the shower and used whites, greens and yellow for the flowers. Two of my cute friends made all of the flower arrangements using my favorite acrylic vases and I love how they turned out!
Everything is blooming! I love white flowers. Hard to tell I know. Ha.

We lucked out with beautiful weather the day of the shower. Kole and I were up early Saturday morning getting pillows on the lounge chairs and starting to set the tables! We rented these gorgeous wood tables (same set we used at the last shower we hosted) and they were perfect. I love that the tables are so pretty we can get away with just a simple runner vs. a tablecloth.
I used beautiful glass candle holders and had some LED floating candles that worked so well in the house but when I set them in the water in the candle holders outside you couldn’t even tell they were lit! Luckily we had some actual floating candles on hand to use instead. The LED sets I bought will be perfect for inside or evening dining!
We had Mexican food (the bride’s favorite!) and they set up a black tent on the lawn where they cooked everything. It was so delicious! We’re still eating some of the leftovers. :)
I ordered this swan for our pool and knew I would be cutting it close because it was supposed to be delivered the day of the shower. It came 20 minutes before the party started! Kenny had been up all morning helping me in the yard and moving tables and things around. When the swan came I said ok.. LAST thing I need your help with.. we HAVE to have the swan in the pool. Ha! I don’t think he really agreed the swan was a must have but he pulled out our electric air pump and brought out the swan right before guests arrived. Shaking his head the whole time! But he did it.
Now that’s love. ;)

Hello my friend. Welcome to your new home.
Now we can party! A must have indeed. :)
We also set out baby pictures of the couple and some cute question cards for the guests to fill out on each table.
We had mocktails and LOTS of diet coke.
Along with cake and churros for dessert.
I didn’t get a good pic of the long table on my back porch. We had more drinks and toppings for the food there. I took these pics so fast because I was still setting things up!
Not everyone but we snapped this when about half of the guests had arrived!

Some pics I snapped quick while everyone was eating!

It was a warm day and the only thing I wish I would have thought of was moving more of our umbrellas around the tables for shade white everyone ate. Next time!
My shower party planning partner in crime.
After we all ate everyone gathered around the TV to watch a fun movie of the groom answering questions about the bride. Then she spoke about him.. it was so cute and made me tear up! I love love and new beginnings. :) So happy for them!
Chocolates inside these cute gift boxes for the party favors! They turned out so cute and we had some left over so I’ve eaten A LOT of chocolate this week.
*Sidenote.. are the uneven baskets at the bottom of my console table in this picture making anyone else feel a twitch coming on? Or is it just me? :)
Me and the bride to be with her sister and mom (a long time bestie)! Couldn’t love these girls more. I found the cute wedding shower sign here and I set it with a picture of the couple on black easels near the front porch. We used a lot of sage green and white for the shower because those are the colors she is using for her wedding. My porch matched too! I’ll share more porch details soon.
It was a beautiful day!
We placed these disposable trash cans all around the yard and they made clean up so easy! Kole helped me pull all the outdoor pillows back inside and when the last guest left and the last dish was cleared and everything was put away I picked up some chocolate, hit my couch and didn’t move for an hour! Ha. Happy exhaustion! That’s always what I feel after hosting a party.
But now after a few days of recovery.. my swan and I are ready for round 2.
What a beautiful shower you held! Lots of pretty details and as long as the bride and her mom were happy you nailed it! Giggled at the swan. Love your pretty backyard. Well done, Erin and crew!
Thank you so much Jeanne! So sweet of you. I agree.. just want the bride and her mom to feel loved! Mission accomplished. :)
Erin!
I have been waiting with bated breath for this piece! QQ-WHY do you and a gal friend or two not do this professionally? Gosh, you are good! It all looks so wonderful and Erin, you presented it in such a way that I thought I was right THERE. I mean I kinda expected in that group pic to see MYSELF, actually I think I looked, LOL!
OK. The swan. I think, I have to have her! OOPS, I mean I will order her JUST for the grand girls. Right! ;) The disposable plates and glasses are fantastic. Exactly the type my husband rinses off to later have a sandwich on (Mr. frugal, you remember him, right? Pumpkin pies out of Fall decor!!!) He thinks only the skinny, cardboard kind (Dixie etc. (150 plates for $ cheap!) are really disposable!
The tables! who knew you could rent REAL tables? They all used to be that awful fold up type (town meeting potluck in town hall basement!) WHERE have I been!?!?
Fabulously done Erin!
PS. ALL ok after the recent quake?
Ha ha.. Sherri you SHOULD have been here! I think I could see you in the group pic too! ;) You are the sweetest. So happy you like it all! And yes!! That earthquake was crazy. The biggest I’ve ever felt! Big enough to scare us all a little but not big enough to do major damage (thank goodness!). Thank you for thinking of us! xo
Very beautiful! Absolutely gorgeous – very fun pics from the decor, to the dresses, to the landsaping. Any way to get info on where to get your party planner’s dress? Super cute. Thanks!
Thank you so much Karyn! So kind of you! Which dress!? :)
You should be a professional party planner! What a lovely set up! I’m sure the bride and her mother were so appreciative of your thoughtful touches and hard work putting this shower together. I have added so many of these items to my Amazon wish list!
Oh you are the sweetest Leah! Thank you! I don’t think professional party planning is in my future.. ha! But so kind of you. I’m happy you liked the items we used! I’ll definitely be using them items all summer long! :)
Beautiful! It inspires me to have a small get-together so I can use the napkin rings – they’re so pretty! I also heard about an earthquake in San Diego, so I am hoping you all are doing ok. <3
Thank you so much Julie! Aren’t they!? I’m obsessed with the flower napkin rings too! And oh my word.. yes! It was crazy. A painting in my bathroom hit the floor and I felt the whole house move! I was just about to run and get under a door frame and then it stopped. Biggest one I’ve ever felt! But everyone is ok thank goodness. So sweet of you to think of us! xo
Sounds like a beautiful day and beautiful shower. I love seeing examples from other people’s parties since I’m not naturally gifted in the “decorating” department. Organizing and managing, yes; making it look pretty? Not so much. And those disposable trash cans – what a great idea!
Thank you so much Jenni! I agree.. the disposable trash cans are genius! And we should go into business together because the making it pretty is the party I enjoy – the management I am always happy to hand over to someone more qualified! Ha. ;) Enjoy your weekend!
Everything is so lovely!!! What a fun event…lots of work for sure. You made it very special 💜
Thank you so much Lynn! So sweet of you. Happy Easter weekend! :)
This is just beautiful. I adore all of your party planning posts – thank you so much for sharing them with us! You have such a gift for pulling all of the details together in such a lovely way. I love to host as well but I just get terrible anxiety beforehand trying to coordinate everything. Keep hoping someday it will be less stressful. I don’t know how you do it all!
Oh thank you so much Kelly! I’m so happy you like seeing the party posts! Honestly I can get pretty stressed out the week before a party too. It’s a lot right!? Sometimes I even think “I am NOT doing this again..” (I think I’ve said that to myself every year before my Christmas party!) But then always during and after the party I think ok.. that was SO much fun! I’m totally doing that again! Ha. Also I feel like the more I do it the more I don’t sweat the details. A lot of times the things I worry about are things nobody else even notices! People just want to spend time together and it helps me to remember that when I’m prepping things. Wish you lived close and we could host something together! It’s always less stressful when you pull in some friends. :)
